the process

To my wedding clients, your wedding day is one of the biggest and most important days of your life and you deserve a photographer who will give you the most unforgettable experience. Specializing in Wedding photography, I know exactly what you want and need on your big day. We will get to know one another, discuss your expectations, and answer any questions you may have. We will go over contracts and you will be responsible for your non refundable retainer fee due at the time of signing your contract to hold your wedding date. One week prior to your wedding, the remaining balance is due and final details will be discussed. On your wedding day, I will be there to capture your most memorable moments and interactions throughout the entire event. Following the wedding, I will post a sneak peek on Facebook, the full editing of the gallery will take approximately 4-6 weeks. When the gallery is complete, you will receive an online gallery of fully edited photos from your special day.

Print products are available for additional purchase.

Meeting over a cup of coffee and snacks is a great way to get to know one another before we have fun at our session. I know with crazy schedules it's not always possible to meet in person, that is why I also video chat and do phone consults.

I'm always up to do your sessions at your favorite locations, like a favorite park or family farm. I also have a list of places that I love to shoot at! My goal is to make your session fun and relaxing! I want you to feel comfortable around me and in front of my camera. I'll get you laughing because, well, photos should be fun! I love the feeling of leaving a session with new friends.

You don't have to bring anything to your session unless it is something special you would like to include.

Some people don't understand what bridals are. Bridals are a tradition mostly found in the south. This session is for the bride only and takes place before the actual wedding. Bridals are not required and is completely up to you! This is an awesome way for brides to get practice going through the getting ready process and walking in their dress. It's a great way to find any adjustments that are needed to be made. Sometimes it can be the dress needs adjustment or hair and makeup or even if the flowers need to be changed. I like this session to be laid back and while there is going to be time to take photos by yourself on your wedding day it is not as relaxed as this session will be. If you are interested in a bridal session it is recommended that they are scheduled 6 weeks before your wedding day. This gives me enough time to edit and order any that you are wanting displayed on your wedding day!

Getting engaged is an exciting chapter in you and your fiance's life and an engagement session is the perfect way to celebrate. Having an engagement session is the perfect time to practice before your wedding day. I want this process to be a smooth as possible for you both. Having this time to work with you and having you practice posing together is essential. The relationship I have with my clients are built on trust, during these session we will learn to trust each other. This also gives me an idea of what your tastes are and what you like. My clients will see that I understand them and this understanding is what allows me to make them look fantastic in their photos. An engagement session is supposed to be nothing but fun! It's the perfect way to enjoy one another and get away from the stress that wedding planning can be. What makes them even better is the photos can be used for any pre-wedding items you may need or want, such as save the dates and guest books.

When I first started in 2015 I was a full time photographer, currently I am part time but plan on going full time again in the next year.

What type of gear do you carry?

I carry top professional gear. This includes a full frame camera, a back up camera and two prime lenses as well as an off camera flash.

How should I prepare for my session?

Be comfortable in your clothes and with the setting, this will go a long way to help create a laid back atmosphere. If you need help with wardrobe and styling feel free to reach out. I am always available to help make a cohesive look.

Can I extend my session the day of?

Absolutely! If my schedule allows for additional time you can add to the session at the rate of $200 per additional hour, this includes weddings as well.

What happens if you are sick or injured and unable to shoot our session or wedding?

I have an amazing list of back up photographers and will find you a replacement photographer at no cost to you. You also have to option to reschedule if your session allows.

How many images should I expect in my gallery?

As each wedding is different the amount of images in each gallery will vary. Typically a wedding gallery will have 600-900 images.

Portrait Sessions include 15-20 images in a gallery.

An online store is attached to every gallery delivered. While it isn't necessary to order prints through me, it's recommended. The quality of prints. ordered through non professional labs isn't guaranteed.

style guide

1. You Should Be Relaxed: Take a deep breath! the more relaxed you are the more it will reflect in your photos.

2. Less Is More: Simplicity is the key. Simply put, you're not performing on broadway! Less makeup and less jewelry is key and what I tell all my clients. Less is definitely more!

3. Be Playful: Once you relax, you can be in your own little world. Whether you're doing maternity, bridal, engagement and even your wedding photos, be playful! Happiness is key to beautiful photos!

4. It's Ok To Laugh: Even if your laughter doesn't occur natural it can be flattering in your photo. Plus laughing makes things fun!

5. Avoid Stress: Brides, in the days leading up to your wedding avoid stress as much as possible!

6. You Are Beautiful: The best tip I can give... You are beautiful the way your are. Carry yourself with confidence and your photos will be flawless.

1. The Haircut: This one applies mostly for grooms but goes for all men. Your haircut should be done 2 to 3 days before the wedding date or session.

2. Clothing: Whatever you are wearing make sure it is wrinkle free and lint free. Grooms your bride will probably have your suit dry cleaned before your wedding day. Let's keep it that way!

3. Be Patient and Cooperative: Everything you do is for the woman you love. Just remember that when she has you wearing a three piece suit in this Texas heat!

4. Manscaping: This is considered as something only women do. Something as simple as cleaning up your eyebrows can make a huge difference in your appearance. Cleaning up your beard or doing a close shave can also make a difference. So trim up and look handsome for the love of your life.

going unplugged

In a world of technology we are constantly plugged in and during the day we are on our phones, computers, and tv's. It's important to that on your big day your guests become unplugged so their full attention is on you, the bride and groom.

You want to make sure your guests experience the day with you. That is why I recommend you ask them to turn off all of their devices. To truly be present with you and participate in your special day it is essential that your guests unplug and relate to you.

You and your soon to be spouse have put a great deal of time, effort and patience into making your wedding special. The photos your photographer takes should not be of your guests with heads down and looking into their phones.

Everyone loves their smartphones, this includes me and my team. I too believe that the best thing that can be done for you and keep your day special is to unplug and have our phones put away and enjoy your day alongside you.

Having a list of who you want to be photographed at your wedding is important as well.  I have seen list so long and detailed it's impossible to figure out who belongs to who. I have also seen list that are short and sweet. These lists include the people who are important to the bride and groom.

Here is a typical wedding timeline that gives you an idea of what to expect.

- Getting ready photos of bride and groom
- First look of bride and groom or bride and father
- Photos of wedding party ( this one is separate)
- The wedding ceremony
- Cocktail hour
- Family photos

- Wedding party photos (this one is together)
- Grand entrance into reception
- First Dances
- Dinner and speeches/toasts
- Sunset Photos of bride and groom
- Cutting of the cake
- Grand Exit
